Job Description
Are you a Content Strategist who enjoys working at the early stages of complex digital initiatives – asking whether something should be built before deciding how? Were looking for a mid-senior level Content Strategist to join a leading consultancy, supporting a discovery-phase engagement within a large, data-driven financial services organisation.
This role is focused on strategy, research and insight. You’ll help assess whether a significant website overhaul is needed, how users currently find information and what a clearer, more effective content approach could look like within a fintech environment. There is no delivery or design work – the value here is in your thinking, analysis and recommendations.
- Location: Kensington, London (hybrid).
- Start Date: January 2026.
- Duration: 3 months.
- Rate: <£400/day (Inside IR35).
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading a discovery-phase review of a complex, content-heavy website within a financial services context.
- Researching user needs and behaviours, particularly around accessing information quickly and confidently.
- Auditing existing content to assess structure, clarity, findability and effectiveness.
- Identifying content challenges specific to fintech and regulated environments (eg trust, accuracy, governance).
- Defining content principles, opportunities and strategic recommendations.
- Advising on whether a rebuild or restructure is needed, and if so, what approach would deliver the most value.
- Working closely with multidisciplinary consultancy teams and senior stakeholders.
What You’ll Bring
- Strong experience delivering content strategy and discovery work for complex digital platforms.
- Background in fintech, financial services, enterprise or regulated environments (highly desirable).
- Confidence running research, content audits and stakeholder interviews independently.
- Experience shaping clear, evidence-led recommendations rather than producing designs or copy.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence senior decision-makers.
- A strategic, analytical mindset with a strong focus on user needs and business outcomes.
